Staff Admin
We have introduced a new staff admin screen which allows you more control over user accounts.

Email
It is important that users have an email address in MINTclass.  This allows them to log in and allows you to send the activation email.  You can Bulk Upload staff emails click HERE for more information.  

User Levels
You can now see user levels in the User Level column but you change these by clicking on the Edit Staff icon, which looks like a pencil, to the right of the user.

2FA Icons
There are 4 different icons to show you which method of 2FA each user has chosen.  These are:

1 mobile with big screen = app
2 mobile with buttons = text
3 envelope = email
4 stop sign = school only/disabled

You control the 2FA choices in school from the Security area - click HERE for more information.

Badges
You can now earn Badges in MINTclass and as an Admin user you can see these on the Staff Admin screen.

Icon explanations in order from left to right.

This shows that a user has completed all the CPD lessons
This shows that a user has made seating plans for all timetabled lessons
This shows that a user has created an Ad Hoc Group
This shows that a user has logged in more than 10 times
This shows that a user has accessed the Support site
This badge is given when all other badges have been completed.

Please note that the CPD badge will disappear from users if a new or updated lesson is added to the CPD module.

Edit Staff
You can edit more information about users.  Click on the Edit Staff button (looks like a pencil under the tools column) and you get a pop-up.  This pop up differs depending on how your school accesses MINTclass.

The screen shot below shows a school that use Single Sign On.  You can change the user access level, name, email address and whether this user logs in using SSO or username and password.

The screen below shows the edit staff pop up for non-SSO schools.  In here you can change the user level, name, email address and whether or not the user has access to MINTclass or not.

User account info
If the colour bar either end of a user is Green this means that the account is active and therefore able to be used.

If the colour bar is Amber this shows that it is waiting to be activated by the user and you will see how long the user has left to enable their account before you will need to send a reminder email.  To do this click on the icon that looks like a person to send or resend the activation email.

If the colour bar is Red this means that’s the account is dormant and will need to be re-activated by clicking on the icon that looks like a person as you did in the previous step.

You will also notice 2 new buttons at the bottom of the screen which allows you to multi-select certain groups of users.

When you click on the Select All In-Active Accounts button MINTclass will select all the inactive accounts for you.  You can then choose to delete or activate these staff members as shown below.

When you click on Delete Selected Staff you will be asked to confirm your choice, click OK.  When you click on Activate Selected Staff you will see a pop-up like the one below.

Here you can select how you want these staff to access 2FA and what the initial password is.  If you hover over the Set Password to box you will see the 6-digit password for a user/group of users. The default is to send each user an email with their unique 6-digit code however, you could untick the send email to staff box, and then just tell staff what the group password is.

In the 2FA area, the default is to not pre-set, but you can change this to school only if you have whitelisted your schools external IP address(es).  The Clear 2FA is there in case someone has logged into MINTclass before and maybe forgotten how they set up 2FA or even changed their mind.

If you click on Select All Dormant Accounts, these are users that have not logged in for 180 days (or whatever your school changed the setting too), you can Delete or Activate these staff as well.  The delete and activate buttons work in the same was as described above.

Please note you can only active / re-activate staff with email addresses in MINTclass.  See the section on Staff Email addresses to bulk upload.
 
Log In As
The Log In As button has now changed to the final icon on the screen below, with an arrow pointing into a door.  When you click on it, you are logged out of your admin account and will be logged into the account of the selected user.
