Snapshots
Ever worried about losing your Seating Plans? Wish you could roll back to an earlier plan? Or would you just like to keep track of your changes?
Well, with our new Snapshot feature, you can do all of those things! A Snapshot is a backup of your entire timetable of seatplans. Each lesson is stored exactly as it was when the Snapshot is taken so you can never lose a thing!
Simply open SeatingPlanner and in the top right-hand corner of the screen, you will see the new Snapshot button.
Click on My Snapshots.
Automatic Snapshots
You will see here that MINTclass will automatically take a Snapshot every night after you log in, so you will always have the last 10 changes you made.
Viewing Automatic Snapshots
To view an automatic Snapshot, hover on the Snapshot that you wish to view and then click on the View button that will appear on the right.

To view an automatic Snapshot, hover on the Snapshot that you wish to view and then click on the View button that will appear on the right.
You will now see a Snapshot of your Seating Plan. Your Snapshot will only display the students on the plan and it will not display your icons.
Please note: in the top left of the screen you can see that you are viewing a Snapshot. To close the Snapshot and return to the 'live' Seatplanner, click on the X.
Manual Snapshots
To take your own Snapshot, for example, if you want to make a change but need the original, click on Create Snapshot now.

You will notice that any Snapshots you take manually, will appear in the top of the box.
Viewing and Deleting your Manual Snapshots
Select the Snapshot you wish to view by hovering over it, then click on View. This will take you to the selected Snapshot.
You can close the Snapshot by clicking on the X in the top right hand corner of the Viewing Snapshot area, as described above.
To delete a Snapshot that you no longer need, locate as you did to view it and this time simply click on the Delete button.

If you are sure you want to delete the Snapshot, click on Confirm.
Please note: This will permanently delete the Snapshot and there is NO WAY to recover it.
Restoring a Plan from a Snapshot
You can restore either a manual or automatic Snapshot.

You can restore either a manual or automatic Snapshot.
In Seatplanner chose the lesson from the sidebar, for example, Week A Monday Period 2, which is my Year 11 English class.
Now click on the Snapshot button in the top right-hand corner of the screen and select View on the Snapshot you wish to Restore.
Once you have this open, click on the lesson on the sidebar and then, click on the 'Restore This Seatplan Into My Timetable' button.
Once you have this open, click on the lesson on the sidebar and then, click on the 'Restore This Seatplan Into My Timetable' button.
Once you have clicked on this, you will be given a pop up of your Full Timetable. Simply click on the lesson you want to restore and selecting which version you want to restore it to.
This will take you to that Lesson with your newly restored Seating Plan.
