Lesson Sixteen - Lesson Sharing
Lesson Sharing
You can use the Lesson Sharing feature if you have added a lesson to your timetable or if you are covering a lesson. By requesting a Lesson Share, you are requesting Editing Rights to that lesson (seating plans etc.). Whoever the main teacher is of that lesson will then receive a request and will either approve it or refuse it.
Requesting Rights to Edit a Lesson
To request to edit a lesson, firstly you must add it to your timetable. This link will explain how to do this - Adding Lessons to Your Timetable.
Once you have done this and you have the lesson in view, on the left hand side of the screen in the toolbar, click on 'Request Editing Rights To This Lesson'.

Once you have clicked this, you will be asked to confirm. Click 'Yes Please' to continue, or 'No Thanks' if you wish to cancel.
Your request will now have been sent.
The main teacher of that lesson will now be notified and be asked to either Approve or Refuse the request.
Approving and Refusing Lesson Share Requests
To view a Lesson Share request, you will need to go to your Staff Card. This can be found by clicking on your name in the top left hand side of the screen.

Here you will see any pending requests under 'Lesson Sharing'.
You will be able to see who has requested the share and for which lessons. You have the option to either Approve the request or Refuse it.

Now either click Approve or Refuse.
If you Refuse, the Lesson Share will be denied and the requesting teacher will not be able to edit that lesson.
If you Approve, then the teacher who requested the share will be able to edit the lesson.
Once you have approved, you can revoke the editing rights at any point by going back to your Staff Card and clicking 'Revoke'.
