These are the wrong students/class
This could be one of a couple things, depending on the situation.
Do you have students in the seats in the plan? If so, do they have exclamation marks on them?
If they do, then you need to remove them from your plan. When classes and rooms change occasionally students can get left behind in old plan. This is due to our policy of never deleting anything. Simply hit the "change template" button, then "remove all students". For more info see this help guide - Exclamation marks
Do you have no students in the plan? But the "automatic sort", or "manually add students" puts the wrong students in?
This sounds like there could be a problem with class assignments. First port of call here is your data manager to double check all is well in your MIS (SIMS, CMIS etc.) with your lesson. Once they can confirm that the MIS is up to date then ask them to get in touch with us and we can investigate what is going on.

This isn't my lesson or I don't teach it anymore
MINTclass doesn't automatically delete a lesson plan, so old ones are kept for your reference. First port of call here is to check with your data manager who can ensure that all is well on your MIS (SIMS, CMIS etc.). If they confirm that the MIS is up to date then they should get in touch with us to schedule a clean-up operation of old lessons. The cleanup goes through the database of lessons and deletes any that don't exist any more, that have no students on them i.e. are blank. Once this runs (generally within 24 hours) all lessons that have since been removed from the school timetable - as long as they are blank - will vanish.
No grades showing, or not the correct data
There are 3 reasons why we could be getting incomplete or incorrect data:
1 - It isn't on the school MIS (SIMS, CMIS etc.) yet
2 - It has not been mapped correctly from your MIS to MINTclass
3 - We may not be extracting data far back enough historically
First port of call here, always, is to check with your data manager to make sure the data is correct on your MIS and that they are mapping the aspects correctly in MINTclass. If there is a chance the data could have been entered more than 6 months ago (which is the default in the extractor) then your data manager will need to liaise with your network manager/IT team to change the extraction data in the extractor software.

MINTclass Freezing
This seems to be an issue with certain versions of the SMART software and hardware. Disabling the SMART software will apparently fix the issue.
If this is not happening to all staff in your school it could be they have the system disabled when viewing MINTclass, or they may be running a slightly different setup to you.
Our development team are working with SMART to resolve this issue.
Where has my seating plan gone? It was there last time I looked!
MINTclass cannot delete your seating plan - it doesn't have the permissions on the database to do that. Only user action can actually delete a seating plan.
However, MINTclass does update based on information we receive from your school MIS (SIMS etc.). It's the physical room that MINTclass saves the plan against, so if you move rooms your plan stays with the room.
For example: you make your plan up in room MA1, and then from a timetable change you are now in MA2. When you login after the change you will find when you click on your lesson that your plan will have "disappeared". In fact it will have moved onto the lesson of whoever now takes a lesson in that room. So if you search the lesson using the lesson search you can then copy it back into your new room - if the plan is indeed still valid in the new room.
If the member of staff you swap with already has a plan for the room you swap into, then when you view your lesson after the change you are likely to have the wrong students in your plan - these will be the students that were in that room before the change. If you find this, it is worth speaking to the member of staff before deleting the students in case they would like to still use their old plan.

There are student photos missing from my class
If you are missing any student photos in your class please check with your SIMS administrator that they are in SIMS and get them to email our support desk who will update the photos for your school.
MINTclass does not update student photos every night. As you can imagine these files will be extremely large and as student photos do not change every day there is no need to do this.
Wrong classroom template or no template?
You can make room templates for every room in school and you can even make multiple templates for the same room. If a template is a Master you will have to get someone with Admin access to MINTclass to amend this for you.

My Class/Classes are missing
If you have a missing class please click on the My problem isn't listed? Something else not right? button at the bottom of the screen and let us know the week (if you are a two-week timetable school, the day and the period - the class code would also help greatly.
