Lesson Five - Student Photos, Printing & Help
Student Photos
All students can have a picture associated with them which can be displayed on the student card, printouts and the student profile. If you have a large number of photos to upload, we strongly suggest you contact our Support Team to get them to do this for you.
To upload individual student photos, you will need to ensure that the file name is the student's admission number and it is either a JPG or PNG file. You must upload files and not folders.

In Cortex, go to the Misc tab and click on Image Upload. Now select the file you wish to upload by clicking on the 'choose file' button and then click on Upload Image. Repeat these steps for each student photo.
Printing
Users can print seating plans using the PDF print option and this should be used wherever possible.
Help
Once you have logged into MINTclass, be that as a teacher or admin, you will see that in the top right hand corner of the screen there is a help button.

Under the PDF Print options, you are able to print any strategies that have been setup by your school's SENco that are relevant to that class by clicking in the 'Show Strategy Information' box. You are also able to print any notes for students that have been added by staff by clicking in the 'Show Notes' option.
Note: If you are printing a seating plan that is not yours, you will only be able to see school notes and not the teachers notes.

This is a legacy setting within MINTclass that we are keeping for a little while longer. If you wish to use it instead of the PDF Print option, within Cortex, go to Misc and then click on Custom Print CSS.

Make the necessary changes and click Save CSS.
Help

Here you will find a wide range of help and information on setting up and using MINTclass as well as Tutorial Videos.
The MINTclass lesson icon will give you two options, Lessons for Teachers or Lessons for MINTclass Administrators. The Teacher lessons can also be found within MINTclass and form part of the MINTclass CPD module.
