Lesson Ten - Changing your 2FA
When you first log into MINTclass you will be asked to set up the way you wish to use 2FA. For some users, this may have been pre-set to 'only use in school'  If you wish to use MINTclass at home you will need to change your 2FA method. You will not need to use 2FA in school if this has already been set up for you but you will need to use the new method of 2FA at home.

Exemptions - If your school uses one of the following methods to log into MINTclass you do not need 2FA.

Office 365
AD - Active Directory
Frog

To change your method of 2-factor authentication, click on your name in the top left of the screen to open up your Staff Card.

Once you have your Staff Card open, click on the 'Security' tab at the top.

To change your method, click on the 'Configure 2FA' button.

Here you will be shown your current choice of 2FA. To change this, click on the 'Change Method' button within the green bar.

Now, pick your new method of 2FA from the list of options available to you.

If your school's IP Address has been whitelisted, you will see a 4th option which will allow you to click on 'No thanks', I will always be working from within school. This means you won't have to provide any form of 2-factor authentication within school.

Once you have made your choice, follow the instructions displayed to complete your new 2FA choice.

Please note: If your school has enabled the trusted machine area in MINTclass you will be able to trust this computer and it won't ask for the code for 90 days if you place a tick in the box.
